About my research:
I am an Early Career Researcher; I received my PhD in History of Art and Architecture from the University of York. My research examines British Aestheticism and nineteenth-century art at the intersections of race, class, gender and sex, sexuality, queer identity, disability, and ecology.
I start in Britain and use its historical, imperial networks to trace commodities, visual culture, and materiality to make sense of British cosmopolitan identities and centre nonwhite subjectivities.
Professional and Research Skills:
Organized and managed two academic conferences
Produced and released calls for papers to acquire up and coming research.
Experienced educator. Taught undergraduate history and history of art courses. I have also taught Grade 10 English and ESL/EAL.
Represented Teaching Assistants to Department.
Worked in student coordination and planning.
Developer and presenter of workshops around art, culture, consent, anti-racism, and mental well-being.
