ABOUT ME

Katrina Manica, PhD

Researcher, Educator, Project Manager, Reader

About my research:

I am an Early Career Researcher; I received my PhD in History of Art from the University of York. My research examines British Aestheticism and nineteenth-century art at the intersections of race, class, gender and sex, sexuality, queer identity, disability, and ecology.

I start in Britain and use its historical, imperial networks to trace commodities, visual culture, and materiality to make sense of British cosmopolitan identities and centre nonwhite subjectivities.
